We return this week to the story of St. Joe Bay, the stakes-winning 4-year-old horse.
The horse, as reported last week in a story titled "Raising Stakes", was owned by Bonnie and Kim Heath, owners of Bonnie Heath Farms.
Not quite correct, come to find out, after contact from David A. Bernsen, of Global Wagering Group, LLC, who politely pointed out he was the owner of the horse along with Altamira Racing Stable, owned by Peter Miller, St. Joe Bay's trainer.
The Heaths, as it happened, bred and raised St. Joe Bay on their Marion County farm, but the horse was purchased by Bernsen and Miller before he raced as a 2-year-old.
